Why she digs her gig: "I'm immensely grateful for the opportunity to evaluate a vast range of products so I can help people decide which is their most efficient choice. The summer beauty looks Janine will be trying:

1. Orange Lips
"I've been all about bright lips since about last spring. I especially love orange for summer; it's fresher and more youthful than red. It's best with minimal makeup on the rest of the face, which means a speedier exit from home and less stuff to melt in the heat."

Janine's pro tip: "For people who aren't quite ready for a full-on bright lipstick, chubby lip pencils are a great option. They tend to be a bit sheerer, yet they're buildable for a punchier finish. Plus, the control factor with a pencil is excellent."

2. Summer-Proof Eyes
"The cat's-eye was huge on the Spring 2012 runways and is one of my own favourite looks. Waterproof pencils, cream liners or felt-tip eye markers are key. A word about mascara: consider tube-technology mascaras as well as waterproof. Tube-tech ones withstand oil, sweat and humidity to last all day without smudging, smearing or flaking."

3. The Topknot
"For hair, braids are big, of course, mostly thanks to the Hunger Games movie. The topknot is still going strong; I saw it everywhere on a recent trip to NYC. For me, anyway, it's much easier and faster than braids. So it'll be my hot-weather hairdo."
