Iced Tea
Iced tea came into being at the St. Louis World's Fair a way back in 1905. It was a sweltering hot day, so the owner of a unsuccessful tea concession tried dumping some ice into the pot to boost sales. The strategy worked pretty well.
Ingredients
- 1 pot fresh-brewed tea
- Sugar to taste
Preparation
To make it old-fashioned style, all you do is pour the hot tea into glasses filled with cracked ice, and then add sugar to taste. Garnish with lemon slice, and chill before serving.
