Food Processor Sweet Pastry
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cups (375 mL) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) icing sugar
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) butter, cut into cubes
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
Preparation
In food processor, combine flour and sugar. Add butter cut into cubes. Process until mixture looks like fine crumbs.
Add egg and process very briefly, just until mixture starts to clump together.
Gather into a ball and flatten to a disk. Pat dough into pan. (Alternatively, roll out dough on floured surface and fit into pan.)
