Raspberry Smoothie

Too rushed to eat breakfast in the morning? Try this quick, nutritious blender drink.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup  (125 mL)  skim milk or soy beverage
  • 1 container 175 g (6 oz) low-fat raspberry yogurt
  • 1/2 cup  (125 mL)  frozen raspberries
  • 1 tbsp  (15 mL)  whole, milled or ground flaxseed
  • 1 tsp  (5 mL)  honey or sugar (optional)

Preparation

Place milk, yogurt and frozen berries into a blender. Whirl on high, adding the flaxseed and honey (if using) as mixture is blending. Blend until smooth.

Makes 1 serving.
