Berry Bucket Sangria
This wine punch celebrates the Maple Leaf flag with plentiful red berries mixed with sparkling white wine.
Ingredients
- 2 cups (500 mL) sliced strawberries
- 1-1/2 cups (375 mL) raspberries
- 1/3 cup (75 mL) orange liqueur or orange brandy
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) brandy
- 1 small lemon, thinly sliced
- 12 mint leaves
- Pinch salt
- 1 bottle (750 mL) chilled sparkling white wine
Preparation
In pitcher, stir together strawberries, raspberries, orange liqueur, sugar, brandy, lemon, mint and salt; refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or for up to 4 hours. Stir in sparkling wine; top with ice.
Makes 8 servings.
