Caesar Salad Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 thick slices sourdough or other crusty bread
  • 2 tbsp  (30 mL)  creamy caesar salad dressing
  • 2 Romaine lettuces leaves
  • 1 tbsp  (15 mL)  Parmesan cheese shards or grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 strips crispy cooked bacon or 3 tbsp (45 mL) precooked real bacon bits or pieces

Preparation

Toast bread lightly under the broiler or on the grill. Spread dressing evenly over each slice and stack romaine leaves, trimming to fit, on top of one bread slice.

Lay bacon over top and sprinkle with Parmesan.

Cover with second piece of toasted bread, dressing-side-down. Slice in half.

Makes 1 serving.
