Avocado and Green Tomato Salsa

While there are lots of green tomatoes available, make this unique and tangy salsa – a natural partner to grilled chicken or shrimp and nachos, too.
Ingredients
- 1 green tomato, diced
- 1/3 cup (75 mL) finely diced sweet onion
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) minced fresh coriander
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) lime juice
- 1 hot pepper, seeded and minced
- 1 avocado, diced
- salt
Preparation
Mix together tomato, onion, coriander, lime juice, hot pepper and 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt. Stir in avocado.
Makes about 2-1/3 cups (575 mL).
